  1. 1.Do you have public liability insurance?

  2. Yes. We hold public liability insurance which covers up to £5 million. This covers our negligence, for example when setting up the equipment and does not cover misuse of the equipment. We recommend that you take out your own public liability insurance to cover this.


  1. 2.Can the equipment be kept over night?

  2. No. We currently do not allow overnight hire of any of our equipment.


  1. 3.What’s the latest I can keep the equipment?

  2. The latest collection time we offer is 7pm.


  1. 4.Do I have to pay a deposit?

  2. In most circumstances we do not require a deposit. For bookings over £150 we require a non refundable £100 deposit.


  1. 5.Can I cancel my booking?

  2. Yes. You are free to cancel your booking anytime before 9am on the day of hire.


  1. 6.What if it rains, can I have a refund?

  2. Most of our equipment is fitted with shower covers. We don’t offer refunds if you can’t use the equipment due to adverse weather conditions as you are free to cancel your booking until 9am on the day of hire.


  1. 7.What happens if the equipment gets damaged?

  2. All equipment is checked on delivery and collection for any damage. You are responsible for the safe keeping of the equipment. If damage occurs you will be liable for any costs incurred in repairing the equipment.


  1. 8.Can the castle equipment be used indoors?

  2. Yes. This may be limited by the size (including the ceiling) of the venue. The castle can be weighted at each corner with sandbags. Some venues do not allow use of bouncy castles and it is your responsibility to investigate whether any restrictions apply. Capel Castles will not be responsible for any damage or claims arising from use of our equipment at a venue.


  1. 9.Can the equipment be used on concrete?

  2. No, our equipment can only be used on grass or indoors (Village Halls etc). This is due to the amount weighting required for each anchor point to satisfy regulatory requirements.


  1. 10.Do you offer a discount if we don’t need the equipment for the full five hours.

  2. Unfortunately we’re not able to offer discounts if you don’t require the equipment for the full five hours.


  1. 11.Are you members of any trade organisations?

  2. Yes, we’re members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hirer’s Alliance) and TIPE (The Inflatable Play Enterprise). Both organisations focus on improving overall safety standards within the industry and promoting best practice. You can find out more about the BIHA at www.biha.org.uk and TIPE at www.tipe.co.uk.


  1. 12.How do I know your equipment is safe?

  2. All inflatable play equipment has to undergo annual checks to ensure it meets a certain level of quality. This is also a requirement from our public liability insurers. All equipment that falls within the scope of the PIPA scheme is also tested to their standards. You can check the status of our equipment by visiting www.pipa.org.uk and entering the tag number displayed on the castle.


  1. 13.Do you charge for delivery of the equipment?

  2. The prices quoted include delivery and collection to a venue within 20 miles of the “IP9 2” postcode as quoted by www.theaa.co.uk. If the venue is further than 20 miles, then a charge of £0.40p per mile for both the delivery and collection will be applied to the quotation.

  2. We have delivered to the following areas. In some cases a delivery charge may be payable. Please see the previous FAQ for further information.
